The Beginning of Michael's World

In early 2015, a homeless man named Michael came to First Christian Church in need of jeans, socks, and shoes. His need was shared with a Bible Study group — and the response was overwhelming.

What began as helping one man quickly became a recognized children’s clothing mission of the church.

Michael’s World continues that mission today — providing free clothing to families in need with dignity and compassion.

• Volunteers wash, dry, sort, and size clothing.

• Items are organized by size and season.

• Small children’s clothing is bagged for easy pickup.

• Parents and children choose items directly from racks.

Most clothing comes from donations. Additional items are purchased from:

• Goodwill Industries

• Kid Zone

• Local thrift stores

We collaborate with:

• Clothed in Righteousness

• YMCA

• “Lil Lambs” at Church of the Lakes
